Our mission is to introduce, and help understand, the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have never been presented with the opportunity; to educate ourselves and equip other Christians.
We serve the world with a true love and passion for God through our belief and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We minister the Word of God to anyone and everyone who thirsts for His truth. Word On Wheels® is dedicated to offering God's message of peace, comfort and hope to everyone we encounter in the community and while traveling - whether it's on a local, regional, national or international journey.
Who are we, exactly - and what do we do?
Word On Wheels® had its beginnings as a gathering of Christian people who love to fellowship with each other. Our various ministries are composed of people of all age groups and from different walks of life, with just as many different past experiences. We minister the message of peace, comfort and hope to each other and anyone outside the ministries who thirst for God's truth. Word On Wheels® doesn't discriminate. There is a definite need out there for the Word of God and Word On Wheels® is all about helping those in need. We now consider Word On Wheels® to be more than just a fellowship. We are a Free Church (not a State Church). Sometimes, we bring the Word of God into the wind, reaching out to those who still don't feel comfortable coming to us. This is our "Biker Ministry" outreach program. Then there are the homeless and runaway youth who hear the Gospel from our "Friendship Ministry" outreach program. We like to refer to the members of this particular ministry as our foot soldiers. They crawl into spaces, climb walls, crouch in corners or under bridges and fellowship with those who would otherwise never have the opportunity to hear the Word of God or feel the love and passion of Jesus Christ. Our members are truckers, motorists, bicyclists, some ride scooters, dirt bikes, horses, buses, taxis, some on roller blades, skates, in wheelchairs, skate boards, or on foot. Some own huge real estate properties while others live in the streets. Some have too many "toys" to keep track of and some have only the few ragged garments on their backs. Some have jobs, own businesses or are retired while others haven't been able to find work. God doesn't turn any of His children away for what they do, or do not possess, therefore why should we? To name a few more outreach programs, we have the "Blanket Ministry", a "Shawl Ministry" and a "Youth Ministry". We invite all brothers and sisters to participate, share their talents, fellowship and rejoice!
We have fun, enjoy life's wonderful moments together and we respect each other. We find joy in helping others receive Christ into their lives. We recognize that when we have a relationship with our Savior, our lives are enriched and more fulfilling. Our members nurture their relationship with God by congregating at church services, at a member's home, a designated building or in a park...and fellowship in groups for prayer meetings, participating in the various ministries, going on runs/rides and events, and much, much more! Some of our visitors even attend their own chosen churches, which we have absolutely no objection. As a matter of fact, we think that's wonderful! Those who do not belong to, or don't fellowship at a particular church can still nurture their relationship with God by developing a brotherhood/sisterhood with members of our ministries.
Financial Support:
Word On Wheels® is, for the most part, funded and supported by its members' tithes, fundraisers, and through individual financial support and donations from the community. Every effort to help the growth and maintenance of our ministries is duly recognized and appreciated. Every member does his/her share in sustaining the ministry of God's Word and Truth.
